Gene Houston
Mr Houston is an entrepreneur and business leader with more than 30 years of experience spanning construction, sales, management, real estate, financial markets, and emerging industries. Throughout his career, he has built and led companies, developed high-performing sales organisations, and leveraged strong relationships to create opportunities across multiple industries.
After early career experience with organisations including Disney, UPS, and FedEx, Mr Houston earned a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from California State University, Fullerton.
He went on to found Sharpline Painting, growing the company into a successful residential and commercial operation with more than 2,000 completed projects. He later expanded into general contracting, real estate, and home remodelling, including the founding of Makena’s Home Makeover and becoming a leading California distributor of Wellborn Cabinets. Following the 2008 financial crisis, Mr Houston transitioned into financial markets and sales development, building large organisations in the health and wellness industry. He also founded Momentum Forex Trade Academy and developed an early interest in emerging cryptocurrency markets.
A lifelong volleyball enthusiast, Mr Houston later purchased and restructured Mavericks Volleyball Club, growing it from 13 to 23 teams in less than two years and helping add two National Championships to the club’s accomplishments.
Today, Mr Houston remains active in entrepreneurship, construction consulting, emerging markets, and volleyball. Married to Stacey since 1997 and the father of three collegiate volleyball athletes, he enjoys big-wave surfing, motocross, travelling, and playing volleyball with his daughters. He currently trains with the USA Men’s 50+ Volleyball program and aspires to compete on the 2027 roster.
